Biography
Dr. Yu Li graduated with a master’s degree from Beijing Medical University in 1995 and has been working at Guangzhou First People’s Hospital ever since. She has obtained the qualifications of a master’s supervisor at Guangzhou Medical University and a doctoral supervisor in pediatrics at Jinan University Medical College.
Dr. Yu Li has been engaged in clinical practice, teaching, and scientific research in pediatrics for over 30 years. She has conducted clinical research on children’s kidney diseases and immune disorders, and is proficient in the management of children’s endocrine and adolescent growth development, various types of glomerulonephritis in children, refractory nephrotic syndrome, unexplained hematuria and proteinuria, urinary system infections, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, immune deficiency diseases, allergic purpura, systemic lupus erythematosus, and lupus nephritis, among others. She performs pediatric renal biopsies and pathological testing, carries out pediatric blood purification techniques, and provides comprehensive treatment for enuresis in children. She also conducts genetic testing and counseling for children with kidney diseases.
Dr. Yu Li’s “A Series of Studies on the Pathogenesis and Treatment of Nephrotic Syndrome in Children” has won the second and third prizes of the Guangdong Province Science and Technology Progress Award. Dr. Yu has presided over two National Natural Science Foundation projects and undertaken more than 20 scientific research projects, including national science and technology support projects and Guangdong Province Natural Science Foundation projects. Dr. Yu is a member of the 15th-17th Pediatrics Branch of the Chinese Medical Association; Deputy Director of the Pediatric Committee of the Chinese Female Doctor Association; Executive Committee Member of the Pediatric Nephrology Committee of the China Maternal and Child Health Association; Member of the Pediatric Committee of the Chinese Research Hospital Association; Member of the Pediatric Enuresis Collaborative Group of the Pediatric Physician Branch of the Chinese Medical Association; Deputy Director of the Pediatrics Branch of the Guangdong Medical Association; Deputy Director of the Pediatric Nephrology Committee of the Guangdong Pharmaceutical Association; and serves as an editorial board member of “Chinese Journal of Practical Pediatrics,” “Journal of Clinical Pediatrics,” and “Practical Medical Journal.” She has published over a hundred papers, including multiple SCI papers.
