Xiaomei ZHOU

Dr. Zhou completed his master’s in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Sun Yat-sen University. She then went on to study Hospital Management at Peking University Health Science Center, and Business Administration at City University of Macau.

Before joining Shenzhen United Hospital, Dr. Zhou was the vice president of the Second People’s Hospital of Futian District, Shenzhen Hospital Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, and the Women & Children Health Institution Futian Shenzhen.

Dr. Zhou has more than 30 years of clinical practice experience, specializing in gynecological minimally invasive surgery for the treatment of various benign and malignant diseases such as radical cervical cancer, pelvic lymphatic dissection, uterine fibroids surgery, endometriosis, ovarian tumor surgery, various abnormal uterine cavity lesions, and pelvic floor surgery. She has extensive experience in uterine suspension, pelvic floor patch total pelvic suspension and mid-urethral suspension, gynecological endocrine disorders and infertility, perinatal management of high-risk pregnancy and treatment of critical and severe obstetrics.

In addition to her focus on clinical practice, Dr. Zhou is a professor and master’s tutor, and has trained more than 20 postgraduates at Guangdong Medical University and Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. She obtained two national patents and presided over 20 provincial and municipal scientific research projects. In addition, she went to various countries including the United States and Italy to participate in training and academic exchanges. Dr. Zhou has written several monographs and over 30 academic papers, including 3 SCI articles.

Dr. Zhou is a CPPCC member of Shenzhen – Convener of the Medical and Health Sector; Member of the Education, Science, Culture and Health Committee of the SCMPC; Vice President of Shenzhen Medical Women’s Association; Deputy Chairman of the Reproductive Professional Committee of Shenzhen Medical Association; Executive Director of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Professional Committee of Shenzhen Medical Doctor Association; member of the International Papillomavirus Society (IPVS), and a member of International Gynecologic Cancer Society (IGCS).
