Education Background

• From 1978 to 1982, studied as an undergraduate in the Department of Medicine of Wuhan Medical College (Tongji Medical University).
• From 1984 to 1986, took an advanced study in the Department of Neurology of Wuhan Tongji Hospital.
• From 1986 to 1986, took an advanced study in cerebrospinal fluid cytology in the Department of Neurology of Xijing Hospital of the Fourth Military Medical University.
  In 1997, took an advanced study in sleep medicine in the Department of Neurology of Tangdu Hospital of the Fourth Military Medical University.
• From 2000 to 2003, studied as a postgraduate in the School of Basic Medicine of Xinjiang Medical University

Working Experience

• With more than 40 years of clinical experience in neurology, Dr.Xu once served as the Director and Chief Physician of the Department of Neurology in the General Hospital of Xinjiang Military Region, and the Director of the Diagnosis and Treatment Center for Sleep Disorders of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army.

Academic Achievement

• Presided over and participated in 9 clinical research projects at the levels of the whole army, provincial and ministerial departments.
• Served as the project leader of the collaborative unit project for the treatment of cerebrovascular diseases under the 10th Five-Year Plan Key Research Project of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China.
• Published 151 professional papers publicly.
• Participated in compiling 5 monographs, including Sleep and Sleep Disorders, Modern Sleep Medicine, Sleep Respiratory Diseases, etc.
• Participated in the compilation and discussion of 20 relevant consensus and guidelines.

• Awarded 20 scientific and technological achievement awards of various kinds, including 2 second prizes and 9 third prizes of scientific and technological achievements at the provincial and ministerial levels.
• Received the Outstanding Contribution Award from the Xinjiang Medical Association in 2015.
• Received the Outstanding Contribution Award from the Xinjiang Rehabilitation Medical Association in 2013.
