  • Research directions: Neuroimmunological diseases; Clinical neuroelectrophysiology (peripheral neuromuscular diseases)
  • Expertise: Diagnosis and treatment of neuroimmunological diseases such as multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders, myasthenia gravis, autoimmune encephalitis, Guillain-Barré syndrome, as well as peripheral neuromuscular diseases.

  • From 2006 to 2007, clinical internship as an exchange student at Shandong University during undergraduate studies
  • From 2008 to 2010, master’s degree in Neurology at Wuhan University
  • From 2013 to 2016, doctoral degree in Neurology at Wuhan University
  • From 2022 to 2024, visiting scholar at the Montreal Neurological Institute of McGill University in Canada, studying under internationally renowned doctors, Professor Jack P. Antel, the former President of the International Society of Neuroimmunology, and Professor G.R. Wayne Moore, a neuropathologist

Working Experience

  • Doctor Weng has been engaged in related work for more than 20 years. He has successively worked in the Department of Neurology of Wuhan No. 6 Hospital and Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University (a national key clinical specialty and a national flagship department for the collaboration between traditional Chinese and Western medicine).

Academic Achievement

  • Published nearly 40 academic papers, among which nearly 20 are SCI papers. His research achievements have been published in international top journals such as Brain and Brain Communications.
  • Participated in compiling one large-scale clinical monograph.
