Biography

Dr. Oswens LO Siu Hung graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 1996 and obtained his fellowship qualifications from the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (Surgery), Fellow of the Hong Kong College of Surgeons and Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2008. Dr. LO received his overseas training at the Singapore General Hospital in 2009. In addition to colorectal cancer, he has a special interest in complex anal fistulas, other anorectal diseases, functional bowel disorders, and peritoneal surface malignancies.

Dr. LO has been a Consultant colorectal Surgeon at Queen Mary Hospital, Hong Kong since 2016 and Head of Department of Colorectal Surgery since 2018. Dr. LO became the Chief Medical Officer at Heal Medical Center (Hong Kong United Family) in 2021. Dr. LO is currently an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor at the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, University of Hong Kong. He has published or co-authored over 50 academic papers in journals such as “Diseases of the Colon & Rectum,” “Techniques in Coloproctology,” “Annals of Surgical Oncology,” and “Surgery.” He is currently a member of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (ASCRS).
