Biography

Dr. Ni graduated from Hebei Medical University with a master’s degree in 1988 and went on to the Medical Department of Hiroshima University in Japan to visit and study in 1990. He later worked in the Anesthesiology Department of the Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University and the Pain Department of Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University.

Dr. Ni is currently the second level chief expert at Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University, Deputy Director of the Institute of Pain Biomedical Research at Capital Medical University, a professor, first level chief physician, physician tutor, and post-doctoral collaborative supervisor. He was also the former director of the Pain Department at Xuanwu Hospital and a specially appointed expert at Beijing United Family Hospital. He is skilled in using minimally invasive intervention methods to treat trigeminal neuralgia, headache, neck, shoulder, waist and leg pain, cervical and lumbar disc herniation, cancer pain, herpes zoster neuralgia, and other conditions.

Dr. Ni has over 40 years of clinical practice experience. His main research field is the diagnosis and minimally invasive intervention treatment of complicate neuro pathic pain. He has published over 56 SCI journal papers, over 250 statistical source journal papers, and guided over 100 graduate and postdoctoral students. Dr. Ni has edited over 10 professional works, including “Diagnosis and Treatment of Cervical Pain” published by the People’s Military Medical Press in 2005.

Dr. Ni is the Chairman of the Collaborative Innovation Platform for Pain Diagnosis, Treatment and Rehabilitation in China, the Chairman of the Beijing High Tech Pain Diagnosis and Treatment Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, President of the 14th World Association of Pain Physicians (June 2010 to June 2012), President of the Chinese Branch of the World Association of Pain Physicians, and Vice Chairman of the Pain Branch of the Chinese Society of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
