Biography

Dr. Zhou Beiyan graduated from Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1986. Dr. Zhou studied in the Department of Pediatrics at Xiangya Hospital Affiliated Hospital of Central South University, PICU at Taipei Veterans General Hospital, NICU at Kaohsiung Chang Gung Hospital in Taiwan, and graduated with excellent grades from the Pediatric Nutrition Graduate Program at Boston University School of Medicine in the United States. Dr. Zhou has been working in pediatrics and neonatology at Bao’an Maternal and Child Health Hospital in Shenzhen since 1998.

Dr. Zhou Beiyan has nearly 40 years of clinical practice experience and is skilled in various common pediatric and neonatal diseases, especially in the treatment of neonatal jaundice, cholestatic jaundice, milk protein allergy, bloody stools, diarrhea, colic, vomiting, weight loss, perioperative nutrition of newborns, and management of follow-up systems for ultra-low preterm infants.

Dr. Zhou Beiyan is a member of the first session of the Newborn Professional Committee of the Cross Strait Medical and Health Exchange Association, a registered nutrition expert of the China Nutrition Society, a standing committee member of the second session of the Newborn Health Professional Committee of the Guangdong Maternal and Child Health Association, a member of the sixth session of the Digestive, Liver Disease and Nutrition Group of the Shenzhen Pediatric Society, a member of the first and second sessions of the Newborn Professional Committee of the Shenzhen Medical Pediatric Branch, a member of the first council of the Newborn Pediatric Physician Branch of the Shenzhen Medical Association, a member of the Maternal and Child Health Special Committee of the Shenzhen Health Science and Technology Society, a medical injury appraisal expert in Shenzhen, and a senior professional title evaluation expert in the Shenzhen medical system.

Dr. Zhou has led and participated in several provincial-level and municipal research projects, and has published over 20 papers in national professional academic journals.
